Our Vision

Pink Canary was never meant to be just another luxury resale store. From the very beginning, we held a bigger picture — one that goes beyond the Pink Canary Philosophy itself. Our vision is to revive the grace of an era when women put thought and intention into curating their wardrobes, dressing with elegance for every occasion, even the simple moments at home. And understood the power she could command by the outfit she wore and the impeccable manner with which she curated her look.

This is not about returning to a time when women lacked rights or voices. Rather, it is about reclaiming the dignity, manners, and refinement that transcended size, status, or social class, and existed in spite of it. It was a time when women were honored and respected, when the quality of their clothing mattered more than the quantity hanging in their closets. When women “dressed” to board an airplane, to sip coffee at a bistro, or to stroll through the countryside in a cotton dress that embodied effortless femininity.

It was also a time when shopping was an experience — when invitations were sent to Parisian salons, when women visited local ateliers who knew them by name, when the act of choosing a garment was thoughtful and personal. While we cannot go back, and in many ways we do not want to go back, Pink Canary was created as a modern echo of that world. Not just a resale shop, but a destination — a place where women look forward to visiting, where impulse fades and intention returns, and where relationships are built between store and client.

This is a space that is feminine, for and about women. A place that feels like a rite of passage for a young woman visiting for the first time with her mother or aunt. A return to elegance, to femininity, and yes, even to a touch of romance. This is the vision of Pink Canary — and I am thrilled that you are here, walking this journey with us.


 

To Our Consignors

Oh, dear consignor — the most vital yet too often misrepresented part of a consignment shop. For years, you have been undervalued and disrespected. I know, because I have been in your shoes. I’ve consigned thousands of dollars’ worth of clothing — sometimes in a single appointment — only to be treated as though I were a nuisance, as if I were begging someone to accept my pieces. I grew weary of waiting months for an appointment, hauling in heavy bags in front of other shoppers, and receiving little to no communication once my items were listed. The respect wasn’t merely lacking — it was nonexistent.

At Pink Canary, we are changing that. You are our VIP. Without you, there is no boutique. We understand the heart and perspective of a consignor: sometimes you consign discreetly and never purchase, and that is absolutely fine with us. Here, you are valued, honored, and treated with dignity at every step. We cannot fully express how important you are to us, only our deepest gratitude that you choose to consign with Pink Canary. I hesitate to even use the word customer, because you are so much more than a transaction to us. At Pink Canary, you are part of a sisterhood — a community of women who long to bring femininity, elegance, grace, and peace back into their lives. And yes, women who still desire a touch of romance, no matter their age or relationship status.

It may seem unusual to speak of these things on a clothing resale website, but that is precisely the point. Pink Canary is not just about clothing — it is about connection, refinement, and rediscovering joy in the experience of dressing well. When you step into our boutique, you are more than a shopper. How We Honor Our Consignors & Customers

To express our appreciation for both our Consignors and our Customers, we have developed some very special programs that we would love to share with you here.

Also, be on the lookout via emails as a customer or consignor for Store wide events throughout the year!

For Our Consignors:

Velvet Glove Service

  • In-House item consignment pick-up for 10 items or more within a 35 mile radius of the store.
  • In-House item consignment pick-up for 40 items or more within a 50 mile radius of the store. (For 40+ items and distances greater than 50 miles, please contact the store at 919-909-9774 for information.)
  • In-House return delivery of any unsold items if you sold 50 items or more in the last six months.
  • A Consignment Concierge who will support you during and after your consignment.

Consignor Socials

  • Held the 1st Friday evening in March, June, September, and December. (Starting December 2025)
  • By invite only for all consignors who have consigned at least 25 items within the prior 6 months.
  • Socials include cocktail hour with guest speaker/vendor.

Complimentary Personal Stylist Service - (Optional)

  • In-Boutique Styling (optional) - Enjoy personalized guidance with one of our in-house stylist while you shop, curated outfits tailored to your taste, fit, and lifestyle.
  • Wish List Tracking - Your stylist keeps a list of the pieces you are looking for and contacts you the moment they arrive in-store.
  • One-Hour Complimentary Consultation - Book a complimentary in-store session to review your current wardrobe, clarify your style goals, and create a plan for a more intentional, refined closet.
  • Ongoing Relationship - Your personal stylist, if you choose to utilize one, becomes your trusted partner in helping you build a wardrobe that is both timeless and uniquely yours.

Rewards Programs

  • Birthday Rewards - $25 Store Credit when you spend $50

Customer Soirées

  • Held the 2nd Friday evening of every month and by invite only.
  • For our loyal customers who continue to support our stores and consignors by having purchased $600 or more total within the prior three months.
